We provide Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime, sometimes CBS Access (Paramount), ESPN Plus, and YouTube. If you keep it signed in, they are all there for you to enjoy on our account. We would ask that you NOT log out as the next guest won’t be able to access the programming.
Let’s go to the game room. There are power fluctuations on the mountain. Make sure the lights are working before adjusting the modem and router. The instructions for resetting the breakers will show you how to do this. Just scroll down to that section. If the lights are working, please go ahead and proceed with the steps below.
- Please make sure the power is secure under the air hockey table near the Master Bedroom in the game room.
- Check the power to the left of the outside of the black dresser. It is behind a red table or behind a gray chair. Make sure the power is secure. If you were able to change the power, wait 3-5 minutes to see if the Wifi Lake Family is working properly.
- If that didn’t do the trick, open the left side of the black dresser. The Spectrum modem is black and looks like an air freshener. In the back of the device there should be a thin power cable. You can take the power out for 3 minutes and then plug it back in. When the lights on the modem come back on, test the Wifi Lake Family to see if that helped.
- Sometimes, the coaxial cable—the old-fashioned white cable that connects behind the back—might be a problem. Make sure it is straight and secure behind the Spectrum modem, which looks like an air freshener.
- Now let’s move to the router. The router is black and has 6-8 arms. Let’s see if we can reset the power on that. This will only make a difference if the lights look stable on the modem.
- If these things don’t do the trick, message Karen and she can call Spectrum to reset the modem remotely.
Hot Tub on the Deck
If you want to take a dip at night – email Karen (me) and I can get it hot for you. It only takes about 2-3 hours to heat up. The buttons look simple but can be complicated. I can turn it on from my phone and get it ready for you. It heats faster with the cover on.
Keep Cover Off Ground
COVER: Just UNCLIP 4 corners on the cover and fold over using the pole. See this video below to see how the pole works. Put the pole in the middle and then fold OVER the pole and the slide it to the side.
The section that is toward my husband should move toward the backyard stairs. Please keep the plastic hot tub stairs right in front of the sliding glass door.
Keep it Covered & Clean
If you keep the cover on, it will keep the water clean, keep the warmth in and keep leaves and dirt out of the water. The hot tub is literally under the stars, so please kindly keep it closed even when you are getting it heated up to 104 degrees.
Cleaned Weekly
Weekly on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday we have the hot tub serviced. If you see a guy working on the hot tub, that’s probably Daniel. He won’t bother you, as he never enters the house. About once a month he drains the hot tub. Just wanted to give you a heads-up.
Hot Tub Tips
JETS: You should be able to press the jets button TWICE for high powered jets. Jets should be the last button on the right. It does power down every 15 minutes or so.
LIGHTS: Press the LIGHT button (2nd on the right) on the topside control panel to turn the spa light on. If your spa has perimeter LED lights, they will also light up at the same time as the spa light.
The perimeter lights operate in three modes:
- Cycle: The first time you press the LIGHT button, the lights will cycle through 6 colors. To cycle through the different color choices, press the button repeatedly. Each time you press the button, you advance to the next color.
- Flashing white: When you have cycled through all the colors, the next time you push the LIGHT button, the LED lights will flash white.
- Fading cycle: The next time you push the LIGHT button, the lights will gradually fade from one color to the next in the order shown above. Spas with exterior corner LED lighting work in the same modes as described above but do not light up when the interior perimeter lights are yellow/green, green or red.
This is the biggest knob near the slider in the house. This knob allows you to divert water through jets from one side of the spa to the other, or in most cases from floor jets to wall jets. Rotate the knob to the left to decrease the water flow through that section. To increase turn clockwise or to the right. ONLY move the BLACK part not the gray part. Please do not force it.
The smaller knobs that are 1″ let you add air to the mixture of water. Increase the airflow – turn to the left and decrease airflow turn clockwise to the right.
We have had to learn the hard way. Bears and raccoons love trash with food in it.
The bear-proof trash cans (yellow) need to be completely screwed on. They are kept under the outside stairs, NOT in the garage.
Trash day is Wednesday morning so you can empty your kitchen trash in the morning if you are filling up. Please only put BAGGED trash in outside cans if you are over-flowing in the house.

WATCH THE VIDEO
We happily provide a great karaoke microphone for our guests to use during their stay. Stream your favorite karaoke songs from YouTube app on your phone and sing away! I made this video to help you use the microphone. As of last week, I brought a second microphone for a guest that wanted to do duets.
USE THE TV for BIG WORDS
If you want the words to be bigger use your favorite karaoke YouTube tracks on the TV in the gameroom or living room. The sound for the backing track will come FROM the TV and the sound from the microphone will come FROM your phone. Follow directions in video. You will need to be on our Wifi to make it all happen.
PLEASE KEEP OFF DECK
We have a quiet neighborhood and we need to keep them happy. Please keep microphones inside with the doors closed so they don’t call enforcement. Neighbors do this on a regular basis. If you keep the noise inside you should be great. Again keep the volume so it doesn’t carry outside.
WHAT TO BRING
1. An idea of what Karaoke YouTube tracks you like so you can easily find on phone or TV.
2. Save a playlist to your YouTube channel. YouTube is one of the only apps on our TV that we do allow you to login and out of.
3. Bring a small bluetooth speaker that you can connect to your phone. Not essential but you might like it. Again music is always tricky. There is no music allowed on deck or jacuzzi.

Arbon musical home: They should be in the games closet in the hall next to the bedroom.
It Keeps the Bugs Out
This is the mountains, and there are critters. If you don’t want spiders or ants in the house, keep the screens and/or doors closed, and everyone is happy. When it is hot outside we find that is best to close curtains if you leave for the day to keep the heat out. We have the AC on so make sure you keep the windows closed.
We would like to keep the white towels in the house clean and white. We hope you saw our packing list and brought your own beach towels. If one of you forget, we usually keep a few on the shelf in the laundry room.
Keeping the Towels Fresh
And the bench or chairs near the hot tub is for you to keep your towels out of the dirt, while you are in the hot tub. Enjoy!
Need to dry them out? Just hang them on one of the many hooks in the bathrooms behind the doors or on the bathroom walls.
Arbon: There is a drawer across from the sink. And there should be a black trash can by fridge and by front door.
Arbon: Usually one or two are in the laundry room folded under the desk.

We have connected natural gas to the BBQ. If it is not working, please let us know. Please be sure to turn it off when you are done using it.
Arbon BBQ Utensils: We try to keep in the drawer to the left of the inside kitchen door. We try to keep lighter there too. Sometimes it gets put with utensil drawer across from stove.
NO CAMP FIRES. Period! It is illegal. Do not bring your own BBQ solution. The cleaning team will charge me if you use something other than our natural gas BBQ.
We have found the board games were torn apart by little hands when we kept them under the TV in the game room. 👶.

You can get to the breaker box by going out to the deck from the kitchen. You go to the right, through a very short gate from the deck and down a flight of stairs consisting of about 3-4 steps.
The breaker box is on the wall on your right, near a large air conditioning condenser unit as well as a whole-house generator. The door to the box opens easily enough from the bottom. The breakers themselves are arrayed cleanly and neatly with labeling. It is typically easy to spot the breaker that has tripped because the “on” position for each breaker is aligned. The breaker that is off will be flipped the opposite way
